Every custom pet plush made by Petslify (Diamonds Painting, Inc.) is backed by a lifetime warranty with no expiration date.

Lifetime Coverage — No Expiration Date

If your custom pet plush develops a covered defect at any point after delivery, contact us and we will make it right. 

What the Warranty Covers

The Petslify lifetime warranty covers defects arising from normal intended use and proper care of your custom plush. There are three covered conditions:

Color Fading If the colors of your custom pet plush visibly and materially fade under normal indoor use — not from washing, heat, moisture, or direct prolonged sunlight — we will repair or replace it.
Seam or Structural Failure If a seam splits, stitching fails, or any structural element of the plush comes apart under normal handling and display — we will repair or replace it.
Shipping Damage If your plush arrives visibly damaged due to shipping or handling in transit, this is also covered. You must notify us within 7 days of the delivery date with photos and your order number.

“Normal use” means indoor display and gentle handling with proper care. The warranty covers the plush as a keepsake or memorial item, not as a toy subject to rough or outdoor use.

What Is Not Covered

The following are excluded from warranty coverage:

  • Damage from misuse, rough handling, accidents, or use as a pet toy
  • Damage from machine or hand washing, soaking, or immersion in water
  • Damage from heat or moisture exposure — hairdryers, radiators, steam, humidity, or direct sunlight over extended periods
  • Staining or odors from food, drink, pet fluids, or other external substances
  • Deliberate alterations, cuts, repairs, or modifications made by anyone other than Petslify
  • Normal wear over many years — minor pilling or slight sheen changes from prolonged use
  • Damage caused by pets chewing, scratching, or playing with the plush

If you are unsure whether your situation is covered, contact us with photos and we will review it. We will always do our best to find a fair resolution.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

There is no time limit — you can submit a claim any time after receiving your custom plush, whether it is one year old or ten years old.

  1. Email support@petslify.com Use the subject line: “Warranty Claim — Order #[your order number]”
  2. Include your order number Found in your original order confirmation email and in your account under Order History.
  3. Attach clear photos of the defect Multiple angles in natural lighting — color fading or seam failure. You do not need to return your plush first; we assess all claims from photos.
  4. We review and respond within 3–5 business days We will confirm whether the issue is covered and offer a remedy.
  5. We arrange the remedy at no additional cost to you Repair, replacement, or a comparable alternative — at our discretion and to the extent permitted by applicable law.

How Petslify Compares

Most custom plush brands offer only a short return window — typically 30 to 60 days — with no ongoing quality coverage. Once that window closes, there is no recourse if a defect develops later. Petslify’s lifetime warranty is a genuine long-term commitment, not a marketing label.

The warranty applies to custom pet plushes purchased from petslify.com, operated by Diamonds Painting, Inc.

Petslify reserves the right to determine whether a reported defect falls within warranty coverage and to choose the appropriate remedy (repair, replacement, or comparable alternative), at our discretion and to the extent permitted by applicable law. We will always communicate our reasoning clearly and treat every claim fairly.

How do I make a warranty claim? +

Email support@petslify.com with the subject line “Warranty Claim — Order #[your order number]”, attach clear photos of the defect, and include your order number. We will review your claim within 3–5 business days and offer a remedy at no additional cost to you.

Do I need to send my plush back to make a warranty claim? +

No. We assess all warranty claims from photos first. You do not need to return your plush before we respond. A return is only requested if a full replacement is needed.

What is not covered by the Petslify lifetime warranty? +

The warranty does not cover: damage from misuse, accidents, or use as a pet toy; damage from washing or water immersion; heat or moisture damage; staining or odors from food, drink, or pet fluids; deliberate alterations or modifications; normal wear over many years; or damage caused by pets chewing or scratching the plush.
